First attempt at matte nails

Matte nails have been around for some time and whilst it was doing it's rounds on the beauty blogs, I didn't pay much attention. Not until recently have I been lusting after dark matte nails, the lust which was ignited during a flick through my usual monthly glossy. Now, when it comes to matte nails I refuse to have pale matte nails. Pale pretty shades should stay glossy and pretty as opposed to dark nails which being matte I can accept, afterall matte black cars are planted somewhere in my dreamworld.

I opted for this Maybelline shade called em, yea I can't seem to find a name on the damn bottle! but for reference, its a metallic dark blue colour. Topping it off with Rimmel's matte top coat, my desired look was achieved, in which I didn't really love! Initially they looked great but within hours, I wanted to remove them and having said that, it's not the polish's, it's just me. I am a fussy one and this may possibly be the reason why I never took notice of matte nails before! Lesson learned.

Personally my matte nails reminded me of hand cream smothered on my nails, and not rubbed in, me no likey!

A fragrance which is rare to find. I fell in love with this years ago, I stocked up at duty free only to leave the shopping bag (full of duty free goods) on the back of a trolley, damn you Heathrow! I have been sourcing this in shops ever since... with no luck. I knew it was available online but until a few months ago, I hated shopping online. The wait, the early morning postman and even worse the 'sorry I missed you' cards! I was never an online shopping enthusiast. But last week I ordered this online, just to settle my sudden crave. Back in December 2011, I crossed paths with this bag in my local Zara - It was love at first sight. Isn't it beautiful? LOVE the folder style opening, simple item yet smart design. Having picked up the last one, I walked to the cashier with a big grin on my face only to find a rip on one side of the gusset. GUTTED. Ever since I put the bag down, I didn't see it again, not in any other Zara stores either and I casually forgot about it.

This Sunday whilst strolling through a West End branch, I spotted this blue and black thing staring right back at me. Hidden in a corner I knew it was waiting for me!!! God pitied me and reunited us. The best bit? it was now in the SALE, BONUS! For £16.99 I walked away with a love I had once forgotten about. End of story.

Benefit Bella Bamba

I love Benefit as a brand but I am not usually a huge fan of Benefit boxed blushers. The packaging falls apart, it's slightly overpriced and apart from Coralista, none of the shades have screamed 'buy me'. So having bought Bella Bamba in the sale, I felt slightly smug. Cheaper price, gorgeous shade and a coated more sturdy holographic box. Will this shade win me over? This shade has been sitting on my cheeks ever since, a little goes along way. Please forgive the iphone quality, the only time I seem to take pictures of myself these days is on my phone... (anyone else?)

Maybe I should now try some other shades? What are your thought's on Benefit blushers?

Found this pastel coloured knitted Topshop Jumper last week. If this jumper was a box of cereal, it would most certainly be lucky charms. It was a reasonable £34 but the fitting is pretty generous, I started with a size 8 (my usual size) and it just drowned me, so I exchanged it for a smaller one. I would suggest getting a smaller than you are size. I can't wait to smarten this piece up with a pair of cigarette pants and some pointy court shoes.

New Years Resolution 2012

Hi all!

Hoping you all had a fab 2011. This is more of a 'diary style' post and I will continue to do these now and again throughout 2012 to update you all. Well, where can I start? 2011 was a frigging awesome year for me, it's a year where all my hard work paid off, my dreams came true and ultimately, I reached my goals. I went travelling, got a new job and found myself. Of course there were a few hiccups and I did spend an enormous amount of time in 2011 crying my heart out, but those were ironed out with the good stuff. The blessings outweighed the hurt. In fact, it was so good that I was waiting for something bad to happen. So I am hoping 2012 can be even better. Fingers crossed.

First and foremost I need to thank all of you who read my blog and have encouraged me along this amazing journey. I don't know how I could possibly show you how much I appreciate it, it's pretty BIG! Every time I think about the lovely messages and support I receive, it brings a tear to my eye.

Now moving onto my New Year Resolutions!

1 | My first resolution is to make more time for my friends and family and hopefully say YES to every occasion/invitation. Throughout my years on Youtube and Blogging I have become pretty anti-social. Simply because I don't have the time. What started out as a hobby has now become a part time job and when combined with my 9-5 full time job it pretty much leaves me with no spare time. Hopefully 2012 will be a year where I create many fun memories with my loved ones.

2| Secondly, I vow to reduce any negativity in my life. Unfortunately I am surrounded by a lot of negativity and 2012 will be the year I distance myself from it. Fake people, people who want me to fail, fake friends, friends who just wants benefits and so on....

Also, I have to give up trying / being nice to people who do not deserve it, as this just means I give them a pass to walk all over me. Sometimes people just love to take advantage of 'miss nice'.

3 | My third resolution is to stop being so hard on myself. I often get stressed out when I don't meet a deadline, when I haven't done what I was supposed to do and when thing's haven't gone quite to plan. Basically, I need to chill out.

4 | My last resolution is to avoid stodgy carbs such as bread and pasta which I love, but give me horrible stomach pains!

That isn't too much? LOL! At the end of the day I just wish to be happy and to be surrounded by equally as happy people to have one big happy time. Happy much? Let me know what your resolutions are?

Benefit Bargains...

Although I do love a good sale, the sales this year has done more damage than good. During the past week I heave been sucked into the sales and have probably bought over £££s worth of stuff (ahem crap I do not need) over 4 days of shopping.

During a shopping trip to Harrods last week, I was so excited to walk into the beauty hall and find that nearly all the brands (99%) were having sales. Christmas gift items, limited editions and general christmas season stock. If you follow my Twitter then you may have already heard me rave about it. 40% off Armani cosmetics and 50% off Laura Mercier, YSL, Clinique, Clarins, Paul&Joe etc ....

Upon approaching the Benefit counter I saw some gift sets but didn't take much notice. Having heard rave reviews about their newest blusher, I wanted a closer look. Bella Bamba was gorgeous! Now, here comes the maths.

Bella Bamba was £23.50 on its own, BUT a gift set containing the full size blusher PLUS a mascara PLUS a lipgloss PLUS a small sized highlighter was reduced to £19.75. It doesn't take a scientist to work it out really? So the ending to this story is that I got it for cheaper than original WITH more goodies in the bag. STEAL!

If you haven't been to the Harrods sale, your seriously missing out. I checked the website and a huge amount of the stuff in store is not online. Of course, I didn't only buy this set, I also bought some half price YSL cleansing waters, fragrances and paul and joe stuff BUT that's a whole other story.

Just before Christmas, I received my package from Chelsea (xclosetoreal). We agreed to do a swap since we both live in different parts of the world. I didn't need anything particularly but it was fun to receive and see what other countries have. Once I received the package my jaw dropped, Chelsea had really spoilt me! I love you girl ^_*

The Glossybox can sometimes be a hit or a miss. The december box is far better than the November box but I guess this all comes down to personal preferences. Also the Glossybox tend to place different items in different boxes and it is simply a case of luck in what you will receive. I tend to find this a slight negative as it would be good to have a choice. You may not like some of the products you have received and it's not very nice to know that others received items you would of preferred. Having said that I don't have a problem this month as I love everything included!

This is my first Joliebox so I did not have much expectations. Packaging: First of all I am in awe of the packaging. Distinctive, cute, girly and eye catching. I can't fault it, it looks rather sweet amongst my make up pile.

Product: The first thing I realized was how dry the formula was and of course the fancy multiple ball shaped brush. The brush made it easy to get into all corners of the eye ensuring every single lash is covered.

Performance: Because the mascara is loaded with millions of fibers, it allowed me to really build up my desired length and volume. I found two coats gave the perfect length and volume, anymore and it may of become a clumpy hot mess. I like how it made my bottom lashes look defined and extra long, even though they are tiny. I really do love this mascara, BUT it is not the best I have ever used.

Price: I bought this for $12.60 from SASA.COM which I thought was relatively reasonable, the equivalent to a UK drugstore mascara price really.

Would I buy it again?: Definitely!

We had fun doing this video and sorry but my accent is really strong in this video LOL, I can't help but feel comfortable around him. I met Tommy when I was 15yrs old (turning 16) and we have been together ever since. I know nearly ten years is a long time but it has FLOWN by! I am like 'where the hell did that 10 years go?!!! Tommy is like my best friend as well as my boyfriend, probably my right arm too! We are seriously immature when we get together, a side that only partners should see! I know your all the same, don't lie hehe!

This video has inspired me to do a HOW TO: Relationships video? Maybe? Who knows. I am no expert in any way when it comes to relationships and everything I have learnt is through trial and error, no relationship is perfect (however perfect it may look) and definitely takes hard work to maintain a long relationship!

Glossybox Vs Carmine November Box 2011

First of all, I know it is December and here I am typing away about November boxes. Instead of giving you a sneak peek of what's in the box (obviously its too late!) I will be reviewing the brand as a whole. What products did I get? Does it weigh out the subscription fee? Is it worth it? How do these compare to one another? If you want my piece of mind then read on...

First up is the November Carmine box and for £10 a month, this is what you get. A mixture of 5 sample/full sized products. Featuring a eyeliner pencil from Dainty Doll, a Lipstick from i-pout, body lotion from Neom, Brow Ink from a la carte (LOVE) and a night cream from time bomb. At first glimpse, pretty impressive.

The first item I gravitated towards was the brow ink, something I have been meaning to try but haven't quite got round to yet.

Now moving onto Glossybox which this month included Nail Rock designer nail wraps, Dead Sea Spa bath salts, Monu Skin Perfector, Illamasqua Freak sample and FC5 Hand Creme. To be honest? I wasn't impressed with this box. I didn't like any of the products, this is the 3rd packet of sea salts I have received and I already have a larger version of the Illamasqua Freak. Having seeing other people's reviews I also noticed that some people received other products which I would of preferred. I am normally impressed and a fan of the Glossybox but not this month.

Comparison

Packaging - Regarding packaging, Glossybox is coming up trumps. The sleek pink and black box with tissue paper wrap is a winner whilst on the other hand Carmine is not as pretty and attractive.

Product - I would say Carmine is more makeup skincare related whereas Glossybox is more of a mixture of product types.

Price - Both boxes are £10 a month plus p+p. Carmine is definitely worth this months £10 as one of the products alone outweigh the cost. Glossybox on the other hand is a little different, although it too outweighs the price it feels a little less value. Especially the perfume sample which you could probably just pick up browsing through your local beauty store.

Overall, this month I am far more impressed with Carmine thus it being this months winner! I love how 4 out of 5 of the products are something I would actually use. However, this is just my opinion, yours may differ and vary =)

(I was sent both boxes for review consideration, however none of my thoughts are swayed by this. Every review I give is honest and truthfully)

One evening a couple of weeks ago I went along to the Paul & Joe event. Situated within the Paul & Joe boutique itself, the atmosphere could not be more cosy or intimate. A handful of bloggers were introduced to the new Christmas Collection 2011, as well as the 10 year anniversary collection which is set to launch in Spring 2012.

I have long been a Paul & Joe fan, significantly more popular in Asia but I am glad there are some stockists in London. Namely Fenwicks and ASOS.

The Christmas collection is really sweet. A combination of eye glosses, glittery nail polishes, ornamental pressed powder and single eyeshadows packaged in a small gift box. The sneak peek of the 10th Year Anniversary was however the show stealer. As kitsch lipsticks and blush sticks were displayed, a big awww was in order. Items were all inspired by the designer's love of cats. Of course, the displayed vanity table was also an attraction. One day....

We were sent off with generous goody bags, some very exciting reviews to come!

Elemis Body Massage at the House of RUSH

Last weekend I was invited to enjoy a treatment of my choice at the newly opened House of RUSH. I am sure those of you who live in the UK are pretty familiar with the blue branded hairdressing chain but now RUSH has taken it one step further to provide an ultimate experience besides the relaxing hair wash or freshly chopped locks, taking the words relaxing and pampering to a whole new level. To provide luxury they have installed a beauty salon catering to all needs such as pedicures, facials, massages, even having a room with space for 3, perfect for couples or girly weekends.

Situated in Piccadilly, London at first signs the House of RUSH looks like an ordinary RUSH store but walk up the christmas decorated stairs and thats where the magic begins.

Walking through the glass door entrance, into a dimmed area filled with all sorts of oil aromas I instantly felt relaxed and somewhat sleepy. I opted for the Elemis deep tissue body massage due to my shoulders always carrying a ton. I pointed out my specific problem areas in which they were tackled with kneading and precise pressing motions. I can honestly say I felt and heard every bone crack into relaxation. The massage took 60 minutes and left me feeling refreshed, relaxed and pampered. I definitely felt an improvement to my shoulders.

The House of RUSH is situated in Piccadilly, a perfect location for a break from all your shopping. I personally think the decoration is amazing and the individual seats and mirrors really add to the exclusivity aura. They also sell and use the most exclusive brands such as Elemis, Rodial, Shu Uemura and so on... I loved it so much I have already re-booked to have a facial and a massage!

Review: Instyler Rotating Hot Hair Tool

Last week I was sent the Instyler to review. I am not short of hair tools so before I accepted to review it, I did some research and then accepted to review it. After all I don't own any rotating hair tools, rotating?! What was special and different I thought?

The hair tool comes with a how to DVD (which I definitely needed) and a comb. It claims to be able to straighten, curl, add volume and add shine to the hair.

So how did it perform? I first used this to add volume to my hair, my hair wasn't as voluminous as I hoped but it was certainly an improvement! Straightening wise? Not a patch on my trusty GHDS, but then again GHDs are specifically made for straightening. Next, I went for the curls. My gosh I LOVE this tool for hair curling. You can control what sort of curls it creates by selecting different amounts of hair, it was quick and easy to do. I loved how my hair curls where not so defined and more beachy/bedhead looking.

Overall I do like the product, I loved how my curls looked and more so the body that it had. Although I do think I need more practice in the other areas!

Pro: Fast and easy for curling hair. Would make a lovely Christmas Present. 4in1 and the bristles really smooth out the hair!

Cons: Doesn't come with a heat protectant glove (hazards!). Can be quite noisy.

A LUSH Surprise

LUSH is a brand that from time to time, I like to indulge in. Your purse will probably agree that LUSH can get quite expensive when used frequently hence the reason I only use a bath bomb/ballistic once a week.

But once christmas approaches I cave in and splash out on Snow Fairy, picking up festive and limited edition items along the way. This little Golden Wonder is a parcel full of joy! Rattle it and peep through it because that is what I did. I threw this into the bath and WOW, my bath was having a party! Just look at how pretty it was! It dissolved into a rainbow and once mixed, I felt like I was bathing in a exotic ocean! Very Likey!

At £3.25 a pop, it definitely is an indulgent for me, one that I can't wait to re-purchase! Have you tried any of the LUSH christmas range?

Last week I was invited along to a Loccitane event, I was really excited for this event as being fairly familiar with the brands name, I haven't ventured into any of their products before, except for their infamous award winning hand cream. We were spoilt with champagne, mince pies and festive cookies, quite possibly the best festive cookies my taste buds have tasted!

We were graced with their winter collection which includes bodycare, lipglosses and quirky graphic gift sets. They also had a delightful amount of christmas gift boxes, pre packed with favorites and sold at a discount price. I am certainly returning for some gifts for my friends and family.

Guided around by the lovely staff and pr team, my non existent knowledge of the products was a thing of the past. First and foremost, I could now pronounce the brand properly! Not only myself, but also a few of the other beauty bloggers had a giggle at how none of us knew how to pronounce it correctly! Can you? The silent X makes all the difference. I wandered around, exploring their skincare, bodycare and makeup?! Who knew they did makeup? I certainly didn't. One thing that caught my eye was the Green Tea range. I am obsessed with anything green tea flavored and as bizarre as it sounds, I wanted the green tea fragrance and shower gel! They both leaned towards the sweeter side of the stuff, not the usual bitter taste which makes them pleasant to use.

Upon leaving, we were sent off with a gift box of our choice in which I opted for the Cherry Bloosom gift box. Sweet, light and girly, just what I like!

Finely knit, comfy luxurious jersey, structured jackets and crisp shirts, COS sure know what quality is. Ever since COS landed in the UK, I have been a firm believer in quality over quantity. Their designs are classic, timeless yet cutting edge. I have had countless amounts of t-shirts from the usual high street haunts such as Topshop, H&M (COS sister brand), All Saints (which have the worst quality EVER!) etc, all which do not withstand the washing machine unlike my trusty COS T-shirt which I have had for 1 year, yet still like new. This winter I have made a pact that every single item of knitwear, jerseys and everything in between will be investments. Wave goodbye throw away fast fashion and hello to great comfy quality. Look Magazine Beauty Event

On Tuesday evening I was invited along to The Arch which is situated behind London's Marble Arch. Tucked away behind the hustle and bustle was a quiet hotel where Look Magazine was holding their beauty press event. Look magazine has took the lead in creating a one of its kind makeup collection, carefully designed by the expert beauty team behind the glossy.

I was initially surprised by the amount of colour choice for not only the lipsticks and eyeshadows but also the nail polish! For a new launch, I found it rather impressive! Not only that, but also some pretty impressive products such as a Face Primer and a BB Cream! Now, not many drugstore brands do these do they?!

A photbooth was hired, perfect for capturing a few cheeky fun snaps. Canapes and wine was flowing and ladies were getting pampered at the free nail bar. I obviously did not miss out and got my nails painted in the most gorgeous petrol blue colour. All I remember was gushing about how pigmented the nail colours were!

Look Beauty is currently being rolled out into Superdrug stores across the country so keep your eyes peeled during your next shopping trip.

I was sent off with a goody bag, products which were carefully thought out and chosen for me according to me taste, now that is effort! Watch out for some reviews, swatches and updates.

Japonesque Make Up Brushes

Last week Japonesque sent me a bag full of make up brushes to try and maybe review. I received 10 brushes from their travel sized range, along with a pack of individually wrapped make up wipes. As soon as I opened the packaging and stroked the bristles, I knew there were a few brushes I would end up loving.

The brushes came just in time for my trip up north, a perfect time to put these into testing.

My Faves

Powder Brush, THE SOFTEST powder brush I have ever used, I love stroking it across my face, blending my powder seamlessly and giving me a perfect finish. My favourite brush!

The Angled Foundation Brush, LOVE this brush, I love the angle which allows you to get into all corners. Really easy to use and gives a fast flawless application.

The retractable eyeliner is also great, I use this as an eyeliner brush. Perfect for no mess or dirty brushes in the makeup bag.

The only thing I did not like was the make up wipes, very strongly scented and felt slightly greasy. The scent was so empowering that my brush still smells of the solution even after two days.

The other brushes are pretty standard to me, great quality but nothing to be raving about. The two face products were the winners for me. Have you tried any of these brushes?

Corinthia Hotel Daniel Galvin Salon

This morning, I trotted along to the Corintha Hotel based in Whitehall Place. I was invited to take a tour of the new Daniel Galvin Salon and also have a treatment of my choice. My first impression of this stunning hotel was WOW. Corinthia opened its doors in July this year and it was clear to see. Everything was sparkling clean, modern, grand and inviting.

The most amazing part of the salon was the VIP Make-Over room which was designed by make up artist Lois Burwell. Using her expertise, the design elements included a sleek barbers chair surrounded by TVs, an iPad which controlled the technology and specific make-up lighting for that all important finishing touch. The room has been been used by a selection of celebrities and brides to be.

Daniel Galvin is infamous for being the hair colour guru so I opted for a vegetable colour/tint. We decided to just give my hair an overall tint as I didn't want to change my hair colour. Once my hair was washed, an overall tint was smoothed over my hair and left on for around 15minutes. After a quick rinse it was time for my blow dry in which just asked for a straight with volume finish.

Once my hair was finished, it was VERY glossy, soft and manageable. A far cry from the bed of hair I arrived with! My stylist also gave me a side parting which I really liked, permanent parting? Maybe. Finally we were sent off with a goody bag full of Daniel Galvin Products.

It was such a great day and I can't wait to re-visit. The hotel also houses a ESPA spa, which is thoughtfully situated right next door to the salon. A perfect place for a days pampering.

Its no secret that I am in love with this little jar of goodness as I featured it in my October Favourites video. Purchased in Paris on a whimsical spree, a purchase I am glad I made. Not only has this skincare line been heavily featured, and advertised. It has quite frankly been pushed under our noses at all beauty counters, and to be honest, this normally puts me off. Testing it on the back of my dry cracked hand, I spared it a moment of thought (and testing!) and was thoroughly impressed! It came home with me on the eurostar and has since, been my best friend.

Not only does this absorb superbly, it hydrates, nourishes and most of all calms my skin and controls my oil levels. I normally find skin creams quite heavy, sticky and uncomfortable but this one feels like heaven on my skin. The gel formula is very light, perfect for oily/combination skin types. If your a normal/dry skin then I would recommend cream formula. I also use this as a make up base, it has been great so far, ensuring my foundation glides on smoothly and flawlessly. Since using this cream (almost 2 months) I have noticed a change in my skin. My breakouts are less frequent, my skin looks smoother, more even and most importantly, my dry patches have vanished. At £19.50 it is an absolute steal! I will no doubt be purchasing another jar and continuing this love affair....

DIY Necklace Hanger

I have forever been searching for a perfect necklace hanger, unfortunately I have not found my match yet. I am quite particular and fussy when it comes to the 'perfect' one. Just like everything else I purchase, If I am not 100% in love with it, I don't but it. In my eyes, things that I just 'like' and not 'love' are quite frankly a waste of money. My perfect necklace storage system would be a hanging one of some sort, something secure and steady which will allow me to easily see them individually (no tangled mess!). I dislike, actually no, I HATE my necklaces being tangled up and when your in a hurry, there is nothing worse. For now, I have resorted to a DIY version using a hanger which is probably about to snap soon. I divided the necklaces with small ribbon ties ensuring they don't slip and slide when I move the hanger. For now, this cheap hanger houses some of my favorite and most worn necklaces (the rest is probably all tangled up and hidden in my garage storage).

In my perfect world, my necklaces would be lavishly hanging across my closet room, organized by colour, length and occasion (in my dreams!). Until my dreams come true, my hunt for the perfect jewelry storage system continues....

What I Say: I bought this on a whim, I was scouring the MAC store looking for something to buy and yes, it was one of those days (eek!). I had finished my Urban Decay eye primer, so I pursued the MAC version. During my first use, this little thing and I did not get on, at all! The texture was very dry, I think I prefer a more liquid formula maybe. Blending was a struggle, it didn't seem to budge easily and within a few more tries, I gave up. My eye ended up looking like a serious case of caked foundation! Dry, flaky and yuk. Since it was already on my eye, I left it and carried on with my eye makeup and to be honest, I didn't notice any difference! Me and this little thing are no longer speaking...

I am unsure whether this is just my luck, as I have seen some positive reviews swimming around the beauty community. Maybe I am just a fussy one, maybe not? For £12 it is actually really cheap when compared to UD, Too Faced and Nars etc. Maybe the term 'you get what you pay for' applies to this scenario?

SPOT The Trend

This Autumn/Winter 2011, the trend that is most recognizable and wearable is probably the polka dot. This time around, the spots have been magnified, no longer your sweet small polka dot, these dots have been designed to be noticed. Leading the trend is Marc Jacobs, a profusion of BIG BOLD SPOTS neatly placed on top of a gorgeous colour palette. Stella McCartney also put her own spin on the spots by creating texture and turning the quirky print into a sexy one.

Polka dots is a print you have to wear with caution, only the brave and uber cool looking can do a full head to toe style without looking like an extra from the circus. A safer option would be to wear it moderately like the celebs. Style icons such as Alexa Chung and Fearne Cotton have already been papped sporting the trend and when catwalks and celebrities are doing it, the high street is never far behind. Below I have put together some of my best picks from the high street, the same look but a fraction of the designer price tag!

I was invited to attend London Fashion Weekend by Elizabeth Arden. Is it part of LFW I hear you ask?

What is the difference between London Fashion Week and Vodafone London Fashion Weekend?

London Fashion Week is a trade event for fashion industry professionals who must register or be invited in order to attend. Vodafone London Fashion Weekend is the consumer event that follows directly on from London Fashion Week, using the same exhibition and catwalk venue. Vodafone London Fashion Weekend is essentially a designer shopping event, where members of the public can shop from designers of London Fashion Week calibre, from the high profile to the emerging, at reduced prices. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a tasteful buffet breakfast. After a quick catchup with some other bloggers and the Elizabeth Arden team, we were taken to the E.A stand. Make up artists were on hand to offer makeovers and tips and Juicy Couture had it's very own stand with a Juicy model boy for people to oogle.

Surrounding the stands were dozens of accessory brand names such as Lola Rose and Anna Lou selling at discount prices. This year, a vintage section was set up. You can not deny that the London fashion pack has gone vintage crazy, original, cheap and special. Others brands included Elizabeth Lau, Muuba, Sass & Bide, Vivienne Westwood, DKNY the list goes on.....

After a spot of wandering around, it was time to take our seats for the catwalk which was presented by Grace Woodward.

I would urge anyone who has not yet been before to take a look next season. Tickets can be purchased online and anyone over the age of 18 can take part in the fun. We were sent of with goody bags containing goodies from Elizabeth Arden and Juicy Couture which I am looking forward to using!

On Sunday I took a trip to the new Westfield in Stratford. Meaning to go to Brighton, me and the other half overslept. It took us just over 15 minutes from door to door which was really impressive, roads were clear, parking was free and to begin with, the crowds weren't too bad. We had lunch at Wahaca, which I must say was rather yummy! Complete with full view of the olympic stadium.

Fast forward a couple of hours and the crowds significantly grew. Although this Westfield has more shops in comparison to the White City one, I think I still prefer the original westfield as it is more spacious, with more breathing space.

Definitely going back on a WEEKDAY, never again a weekend. Have you paid Westfield a visit yet?

LUSH: Christmas already?

The other day, I met my friend for lunch. I can not believe Christmas is so close! Where did this year go?! Anyways, my friend works for LUSH and knows exactly how obsessed I am to the limited edition Snow Fairy show gel! As well as getting to catch up with her, she brought along a goody bag for me to try! Inside was filled with some of the best products from the Christmas Collection. As soon as I peaked inside, the Snow Fairy scent had taken me to heaven!

Obviously, I love the Snow Fairy! I instantly feel all girly and young again upon lathering it! I am super excited to try the lip tint too, snow fairy scent on my lips? I wish it was edible!

I was most excited about this Fairy Wand as it is new. A solid version of the Snow Fairy shower gel! The whole purpose is to swish it around the bath and watch the bubble form, and of course, it can be used more than once.

Finally, we have the Golden Wonder. Throw it into the bath and watch it unravel itself. Layer by layer it will infuse the bath with different colours and wonders with finally, a surprise in the middle.

Monki Arrives

If you didn't know already, Swedish brand Monki has finally landed in the UK. Placing their first concession store in Selfridges. My best description of the brand would be, the cooler stuff from H&M, but not as cool as Topshop and almost as good as ASOS. Monki update their stock twice a week, currently filling the rails with block coloured t-shirts, sheer shirts, autumn coloured jumpers and plenty of pleated skirts. Prices are very reasonable, around £13 for a T-Shirt, £25 for a skirt and about £35 for an oversized cable knit jumper. A mixture of trendy and classic pieces, something for everyone.

Visual wise, one of the most attractive concessions on the lower ground floor of Selfridges. My sneaky iPhone pics ^_^

Obviously, a trip would not be complete without a cheeky purchase. Although I did not buy any clothing, I bought a couple of accessorizes. A mobile phone holder and a Fur hooded scarf which was too cute to not bring home with me.

Michael Van Der Ham, one of the most talked about at last weeks London Fashion Week. Every new Illamasqua collection is always distinctive. Daring, flamboyant and persuasive are the words I would use to describe their past, previous and present collections. This collection is no different. The pigment is smooth and highly pigmented, although it can get a little messy I would certainly suggest to use with caution. The Eyeliner is precise and pigmented and the nail varnish is pigmented (one coat only) and smooth to apply. On Tuesday, I attended one of my best friend's wedding as bridesmaid. The day was beautiful, filled with lots of friends family and laughter. Weddings never fail to make me weep, and watching a best friend walk down the aisle made me feel so proud of her, proud and happy that she has found happiness. Origins to the rescue

Origins is a brand I have been using for years, it never fails to rescue my skin from breakouts, dryness and most of all, spots! I know I can rely on their products. Not only are Origin's products 100% natural, the price point is pretty decent considering they do wonderful things for the skin.

The 3 Origins product I rely on are Modern Friction, Clear Improvement and Spot Remover. These three products work well together, they do a great job at combating skin problems.

I use this exfoliator twice a week. I apply this to my dry clean skin and slowly massage the grains into my face. Once the scrub becomes gritty and slowly dries up, I wet my hands with warm water and start massaging again. Not only does this product slough away dry dead skin cells, it reveals a brighter, tighter and more plump appearance. Massaging in slow circular motions will also help blood circulation and minimize puffiness. I LOVE this, my skin always feels amazing afterwards!

Clear Improvement Mask £19 100ml

"When environmental pollutants, dirt and debris get under your skin, its waste-filtering system gets jammed, pores get clogged, skin looks cloudy. Nature's complexion clean-up crew gets to the bottom of skins overcast condition and clears the way for it to act its best. Activated Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental pollutants, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Without all that "stuff" down there, skin "breathes a sigh of relief."

I normally use this twice a week too, straight after using my exfoliator when my skin is super clean and free of any dead skin. I apply a thin layer across my entire face, sit back and wait for it to dry up. I normally leave it on for 15-20mins, it is pretty obvious when it is time to wash it off, you wont be able to smile once its dried! The clay acts as a magnet, drawing out impurities and any clogged pores. I would warn however, do not do this mask before any important event, the clay will draw out any impurities meaning all problems will surface. I personally think this is the best clay mask I have tried, it really works!

I bought this a few months ago, since then Origins have reformulated and advanced the product. I featured this in my August Favorite YT video so you can imagine how much I LOVE this. I always apply this overnight to any spots and by the morning, the spot is calmed, redness is diminished and the spot start drying up. This is probably the best spot remover I have EVER tried =)

What I say:

I bought this a couple of months ago and I am currently half way through the bottle. I apply this after every shower/bath and once more throughout the day, mainly on my legs and bum area. Scars, stretch marks and dry skin are supposedly reduced in appearance over time. I certainly noticed my dry skin became instantly soft and supple. REgarding stretch marks and scars, I have noticed a small difference. They have reduced slightly but not life changing. Regardless, I still love this product purely for it's moisturizing factors, my dry legs have never been so soft. For £9.49 I think it is pretty good value considering it has lasted so long and a little certainly goes a long way.

This week you may have noticed that I have taken a slight backseat from blogging. Now, before you jump to conclusions, I am very much still HERE! Finding time to sit down and write a blog post has become more of a challenge now.

Last week, I started a new job, some of you may know that already, some may not. Anyhoo my new job requires a lot of traveling hence not being able to blog at my base in London. BUT don't worry, I have plenty of new and exciting things to share with you guys! I am currently editing and uploading a video to YOUTUBE as I type ^_^

I hope my fellow UK people are coping with the transitional weather, I am uber jealous of the countries who are still rocking shorts and sandals! The UK has been pretty miserable and grim and this reminds me that I have to dig out my jumpers and winter coats! Having said that, I do prefer A/W fashion. Layers of clothing, muted wearable colours and most of all, a big warm coat to snuggle in!

I also have my a wedding to go to next week where I am a bridesmaid, I have no shoes, no bag and the worst of all, my dress is too long for me! (I haven't had time to alter it >_<) Currently on the verge of a panic attack, September sure is a busy month!

1. I stocked up on Bioderma when I visited Paris, boy were they heavy to carry home! I wanted to buy more but my suitcase was already trying to bust its way open. Facial spray were cheaper in Paris so I got a couple, one which is a mini! SUPER cute and a perfect size for the handbag.

2. ASOS was doing a extra 20% off clearance, I seized the opportunity and checked out with a sheer shirt and a pair of black leather wedges. Both only came to under £20, bargain. (delivery is free)

3. The ASOS shoes, real leather, comfortable, simple and chic.

4. Longchamp le Pilage bag I bought in Paris, solely for the purpose of traveling and carrying my books, lunch etc

5. iPad2, now I can blog and catch up on the go. Books I bought for short journeys when I don't fancy carrying the IPAD.

This bank holiday weekend, me and a girlfriend took a trip to Paris. Both of us have already been several times but it was great to escape and venture into another culture. The weather was rather dismal and I thoroughly got soaked. We captured some breathtaking sights before heading off to do what girls do best, shopping!

Totoro Nails

Which asian kid didn't grow up watching Totoro right? I certainly did, I have probably lost count how many times I have seen the film now! After listening to some Totoro music, I was really inspired to create some sort of a tutorial, what better than a nail one I thought?! I started playing around with different designs and ended up with this. It is easy to re-create and alll the products I used, you should already have (no fancy nail brush etc).

Since showing my latest iPhone 4 cover in my recent haul video, the questions came pouring in. I decided a blog post was needed.

I first saw the RABITO rabbit case almost 6 months ago when it launched, unfortunately it only catered for the iPhone4. I was still clutching onto my 3GS, hoping that the iPhone5 would soon launch. As always, apple kept delaying and giving false hope for the launch. So last month, I upgraded to the iPhone4 in White, I only took out a 12 month contract instead of the usual 18 or 24 months, so if the iPhone5 launched, I wouldn't have to wait too long to upgrade again.

As soon I got my new phone, I ordered the case in white off ebay, I am pretty sure mine is a fake RABITO as I only paid £3.99 for it, however when it came, I was more than impressed with it.

The design features:

Rabbit Ears - Perfect for wrapping your headphones around it and easy to spot in the bottom of your bag. Oh hello rabbit ears *pulls it out of bag*, that easy! no more fumbling around in a panic that the caller is about to cut off.

Furry Tail - Designed to let the phone stand up and removable, so it can be used to clean any debris of the screen

Here is my new REAL RABITO in pink, The quality is slightly better and more sturdy, and more importantly, the furry tail doesn't fly off as easily. My boifee's brother got me this in Korea.

Although I prefer the white one, it does get dirty VERY easily hence my back up baby pink one. If you do decide to get one, a simple type of 'rabbit iPhone case' in ebay will have them exploding at you and when you do receive it and pursue to the streets with it, be prepared for STARES ^_*

A couple of days ago, I received a package from Gracie, I met Gracie through Youtube where we did a swap. Since then we have kept in touch and parcels are occasionally sent back and forth to each other. I was super surprised to receive such a large box! She had already informed me that she was sending me some lashes, so when I opened the box I was literally gobsmacked! Gracie always writes me the sweetest notes, and this was my birthday present from her! Gracie spoils me far too much! >_<

She is probably the most thoughtful person I have met, she remembers things that I have said, and bought me plenty of Green Tea candies because she knows I am obsessed with anything Green Tea! She also knows what colours I like in makeup and always gets it spot on! The little notes that she writes on each product always make me smile! I am so grateful Gracie! Thank you very much ^_*

The Perfect Bronzer at Last?

Being on the paler side of things can sometimes be a hassle. Although I love being pale (MAC NC20) and I enthusiastically embrace the goodness, I admit it sometimes can bring trouble. Finding a good foundation that will match is often a task in itself, and finding a bronzer that doesn't make me look dirty/fake has been a mission I have been challenging for the past few years.

Last week, I took to my TWITTER to ask some of you guys what bronzer some of you pale beauties were using. The suggestions came pouring in, and as I guessed a few of the suggestions had already been tried and tested. ONE product intrigued me, a couple of my fellow pale beauties recommended the new bronzer collection that The Body Shop has recently launched.

The following day I paid my local branch a visit, I saw 3 pale bronzers staring back at me and as I swatched away, I knew it was going to be perfect. The collection contains 3 colours, Fair, Light and Medium and best of all, all matte. Not only did the pattern look attractive, I loved how it had a incorporated mirror. All shades were unbelievably wearable and the fair, and light shades actually looked almost too pale for my skin, is that possible?! I settled on 'Medium' and walked out of the store smiling like I had hit jackpot.

So, here it is sat on my desk as I snap away some photo's. My gosh, I can not explain how happy/relieved I feel. My objective for a bronzer is to simply give me a little hint of colour throughout the mid summer season without looking overdone, it sure does deliver. I like to use it to first of all contour, applying a generous amount underneath my cheekbones, jawline and forehead and then finishing with a very light hand all over my face. This is perfect, just the way I always wanted my bronzers to work! The Bronzer was £13 but I obviously got 10% off using my trusty loyalty card, I personally think it is such a steal in comparison to other bronzers on the market!

So, if you guys are a pale shade like me then be sure to check these out ^_^

A romantic dinner date would be perfect, beautiful food, flowing conversations and wine to ease the mind. I really am not a fussy person when it comes to dates, as long as you don't take me to a fast food chain then it's all good ^_^

PARK BOM 2NE1 'UGLY' Tutorial

A soon as I saw 2ne1's new music video for 'UGLY' I knew I wanted to recreate one of the looks. I went for Park Bom because her eyes looked super dolly, not only that but probably because she uses the most eye makeup. My favorite part was the eyelashes! I used the Decolag lashes that I was sent from Shoppingholics.com They looks amazing on! My new Faves!

Day 2: Favourite Movie

I have two favorite movies. My First favorite is Titanic, Not only is the story gripping, romantic and breath taking, It is also based on a very sad but true story. I watched this with my mother when I was VERY young and it brings back great memories too. Every time it is replayed on the television, I ALWAYS watch it again.

My Second Favorite is The Other Boleyn Girl, A story about Love, Family and Revenge. I was not expecting much when I bought this DVD, I bought it on a whim whilst browsing the aisles of the supermarket late at night. After watching it, I was blown away. The acting, the story and the whole concept was extremely interesting and captivating. A must watch!

Japanese Beauty Haul

This morning I was woken up by the postman.... again... although I get grumpy I soon became excited once I saw what they were delivering! I opened the door to obtain two packages... for me! The first white box was my order that I placed on Sasa.com. I had ran out of my Essential Honey hair mask, my all time favorite hair mask so I ordered two, along with some shampoos and conditioner. Another product I immediately knew I wanted was the Rohto contact lens eyedrops. I find the Rohto eyedrops better than any other I have tried, refreshing and moisturizing at the same time at a affordable price. Once I am wearing my lenses, I am never without some eye drops.
