Review: Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

Always one to jump upon hype, Im surprised I haven't tried the NARS sheer glow foundation* yet?! It's been popular amongst the bloggers for a while now and I finally caved in last week. I got the shade Fiji (FYI  my MAC shade NC25) which seems like a PERFECT match for me, So good I could of passed the blending down the neckline, without actually blending. It's been a while since this great of a match. Where do I start? It's lightweight, feels light as a feather once on, easy to blend, doesn't set too quickly which means you can really concentrate on buffing the product in. Once on, it doesn't look obvious (no cake faces here), almost like a second skin. The coverage is medium but build able. I only applied one layer which was enough to cover my acne scarring and even out my complexion. It gives a nice dewy glow without making me look like an oil face. Once set, my skin looked flawless and natural. I really didn't expect to love this foundation as much as I do, but it's simply fantastic! Regarding lasting power, It did start to slip and slide after around 6hrs, some blotting powder was needed but for me, that's pretty standard since I have oily skin. FYI - I set it with Shu Uemura translucent loose powder.

P.S please ignore the dry lips, I used THE MOST drying lipstick ever, but that's another story to tell.

Whats your thoughts? Have you tried it yet?

  11. It looks really good on you! Unfortunately, I have dry skin and this only works on days when it's humid in Hong Kong. For anyone who has dry skin, it may not work that well!

  15. I've had my eye on this for a while, just haven't had a chance to go out and get colour matched for it. I'm actually the same mac shade as you, dare I risk it?
