Review: Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment

21 February 2013

Origins Make a Difference Plus £33*

It's been cold, really cold, in fact so cold my skin has developed yucky dry patches. Having scrubbed it religiously, the dry patches were not going anywhere. That's when I came across this pot of cream/gel. I have always been a fan of Origins and I 100% trust in their products so it was a no brainer when I reached for their help. The Origins Make a Difference Plus promises to add moisture to dehydrated skin, exactly what I need. Fortified with nature's rose of jericho lychee and watermelon, two of my favourite fruits ever?! I was sold.
There are different textures for different skin types, myself falling into the oily category so I went for this one which is similar to a gel formula, it's oil free too so I needn't worry about it clogging my pores.
Once opened, the product brought me back to my childhood. It reminded me of calpol for some reason,  orange flavoured to be specific. I remember pretending to be ill, just so I could have a mouthful of that stuff so I automatically thought the smell was really warming. The product itself glides smoothly and sinks into the skin almost immediately. It feels comfortable on the skin, leaving my skin instantly plump and soft.
I have been using this for nearly 2 weeks now and I have to say, I absolutely love it! My dry patches have COMPLETELY vanished! Applying foundation never felt so good. Origins never fail to impress me, my skin loves their products. I use their face masks, spot gel and eye cream, all equally as great and impressive!

Have you used Origins before? What's your favourite product?

  3. That looks and sounds great that I may have to look into it! I like to use Sisley's Hydra Global moisturizer. It feels light but super hydrating. And I love the botanical and anti-aging properties. Check it out!

  6. I'm also suffering from dry patches from the cold weather! I've been looking at some creams, but I have been looking for something that won't make my fake oily. Origins is always a safe bet!

  12. I know you love this but if you get the chance, you should definitely try out KIehl's Ultra Facial Cream! It works absolute wonders on dry skin! My skin type is very dry but this completely moisturizes my skin and my sister who has oily skin only uses this! So it's perfect for all skin types but it actually works and it's not too expensive! Btw, I'm such a huge of you Suzi; I always love how you do your eye makeup! I noticed in your vlogs that you make a lot of food so I was just wondering if you ever eat Korean food? I just started a youtube cooking channel, EasyKoreanFood, and I think it would be so so cool if you visited it! Hopefully, you and Tommy might want to try out some Korean food hehehe. Once again, I love your channel--it's helped me so much!

  13. Origins is such an expensive brand, I can never get myself to splurge on any one of their products. I do, however, have my eyes on one of their clay masks! I'm glad this product worked well for you. There's nothing worse then buying a product which lets you down.

  14. haha I did the same with Calpol!
Great review, I use simple at the moment as it is much more affordable but the smell is so bland.
