You all may be aware that 99% of the time, I am wearing contact lens. Although I wear them for cosmetics reason, I also wear them so I can see clearly too, they do serve a purpose! 2 years ago, I noticed my eye sight was not in tip top shape anymore and after a visit to the opticians, they advised me to get some glasses. To be honest, I was reluctant. Geek sized frames were uncommon back then, almost impossible to find a great pair. Only these large frames suit my face shape, the secretary thin and long shaped makes me look hmmm... quite frankly, like an idiot, me no likey looking weird. I admire those who can pull those frames off, I really wish I could.
After wearing contacts for so long, my eyes have become pretty dry, wearing contact lenses for long hours now feel uncomfortable. I can only wear them for a maximum of 6 hours until I want to physically rip them out and poke my eye. Obviously this is not good enough. It means I am squinting at subtitles, rubbing my eyes whilst typing and trying hard to focus whilst driving (VERY dangerous).
Stepping foot into the opticians, determined to walk away with a pair of prescription glasses, I tried on various styles. Again, only around 30% off the frames actually looked OK. Not great but just OK until I found this Chanel pair. They were light, geeky, framed nicely, perfect! No more squinting! Hallelujah!
(I fail to wear these like a normal person, as soon as there on, my geeky side comes out, that's the effect)
Still getting used to wearing these but ah well, at least I can see properly now!
