Review: Silk Whitia : Soy Milk Whitening Mask

SILK WHITIA: Soy Milk Whitening Mask

Price: $138 HK dollars for a pack of 5 : bought from SASA

What I looked like last night...

(sorry about the scary scare LOL)

Performance: Once opened, the aroma of soy milk infuses the room. It has a very pure smell to it, like literally placing soy milk on my face. The sheet mask was on the large side meaning it did not create a smooth placing on my face. The formula is very runny, it would occasionally drip from my chin which was rather irritating, now I am not sure if all their masks are like this. This was my first time trying the brand.

After 15-20 minutes, it instructs you to rinse the face, I am not a fan of this. I prefer masks that you do not need to wash off, letting the solution sink deeply into the skin. Washing it off seemed a bit of a waste. A few splashes of water later my face felt plump and smooth, noticeably whiter? not this time, only time can tell with a couple of more uses.
When I woke up this morning, my skin didn't feel any different....

Overall I like this mask, mostly because of the smell. The brand advise to use everyday, for best results. This can become expensive if used everyday. One more negative about this product is the cut out eye holes, their rather small! Pull it more to the left and it covers the corner of my right eye and vice versa.... =_=

Have you tried Silk Whitia Masks? If so, which ones?

  1. i've heard lots of people (asians mostly) raving about silk whitia, i've seen them at sasa stores but i don't really feel the 'urge' to pick them up and try :X something about the packaging maybe! :)

  2. My favorite is the Highly Concentrated Collagen Hydrating Mask. It's in green package. It is the most hydrating mask I've ever used!

  3. i've tried the hydrating one in orange packaging and the purple ones!

hmmm they do make my skin feel soft afterwards, but I've never tried the whitening one though, hope it works for you ^^

  5. Hate it when face masks drip! You could squeeze out the excess liquid in the face mask and mix with French Clay to make another face mask! So you effectively get two uses out of the same face mask :) Alternatives to French Clay would be soy bean powder or mung bean powder.

  12. I feel like sheet masks don't do much... I have some My Beauty Diary ones and although they are fun, I don't think I see a difference on my skin.

  17. I tried their Whitening Essence Mask recently and it wasn't runny as compared to the other types of Silk Whitia masks I've tried, such as their Pearl Whitening and Moisturizing ones(which come in white and slightly bigger packaging). The whitening one works for me. My skin was visibly fairer after using it but this mask is not hydrating so have to follow up with moisturizer. :)

  21. I heard various people that use this product or tells that this is one of the best herbal products that are not doing fair your skin but also remove all the dirt particle from it...Every woman desires a fairer and whiter skin tone and this product is definitely complete their all the requirements..
