Last week I came back to London with a parcel sitting in my draw, It was from LUSH. They had sent me a few things to try, some from the Christmas Collection too. Lush is a brand I like to indulge in from time to time. I am totally hooked on a couple of their products but once used everyday, it can become quite pricey.
Below are the offerings I was sent, I will be slowly rolling out these reviews over the week/weeks. The products I am itching to try due to the rave reviews are the BIG Shampoo and the Tea tree toner, I will let you all know how I get on with these ^_^
What They say:
'This sugary sweet lip scrub is a fizzy and luscious new way to keep lips smooth and tingly. Rowena wanted to use popping candy and sugar to scrub the lips, but she and Helen eventually settled on fizzing sherbet to make lips tingle; the Fairtrade sugar is finely granulated to gently scrub away rough skin'
"Cranberry seed oil is a natural source of omega 3, 6 and 9. Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid that the body cannot synthesize. Cranberry seed oil contributes to the lipid barrier of the skin and is suited for use on the lips to maintain moisture"
(Lips before the scrub)
So I began by scooping out a decent amount and started to rub it onto my lips which were moist (just after washing my face)
I used gentle circular motions to slowly slough away any dry flakey icky bits, the texture crumbled together and after a few slow scrubs, the product was hardly movable.
The Sherbet taste was very distinctive and noticeable and at times I really had the urge to lick my licks!
Here is after the scrub, The scrub has noticeably sloughed away some dry flakey skin, but not all. The corners of my mouth still show small signs of dryness.
Overall it is a really nice product and it does do what it claims to do. However I do not think this is a necessity. It would be nice as a small gift or maybe a small indulgence to yourself but the results are also achievable from the good old toothbrush method way.
(disclaimer: the product was sent to me free for review purposes, however I am not affiliated with the company, all my points are my honest opinion)
