Polish Please!

A few days ago whilst pondering around boots, something caught my eye, or should I say some thingS...

Although the British weather is still cold and damp now that were in Spring I think its about time I need to inject some colour into my life again and there is nothing more subtle yet effective as pretty nail colours. For the past few months I have been wearing taupes, nudes, blacks and deep reds.

Walking along the makeup stands per usual, I noticed these staring me in the face. They are by the brand 17. I must admit, I never really stop to look at the brand but these little babies got me excited.

New season, new polishes, new colours I say!

(L-R) Orange Soda / Mint Choc Chip / Parma Violet

Here is Mint Choc Chip, When I think of mint choc chip I think of pastel/pale green? correct me if Im wrong. This polish is not green at all, infact its just a pretty pastel blue colour, but I still LOVE it. What do you think?

Here is Parma Violet, A pretty pastel lilac, not too sure if it flatters my skin tone but it sure is pretty!

Last but not least, Orange Soda. This was the colour that attracted me the most, Its orange.. but its not? I would describe more of a pastel peachy shade, maybe it should be called peach soda..

Which is your fave? I personally LOVE Mint Choc Chip, its such an unpredictable colour yet looks gorgeous with the clothes I wear which normally tend to be black, grey, white, khaki and brown. Neutral colours basically. I love injecting bright pops of colours whether it be lipstick, nail polish or accessories and these little things are perfect! The consistency is smooth and applies like a dream, the bottle does recommend two coats and I found I did need 2 coats to achieve the perfect finish. Great compared to many pastel shades I have tried previously which are super streaky and need 3 coats.

btw, I was not paid to talk about these, I bought them with my own money, just so you know! ^_*
There retailed at £2.99 but boots are currently doing a 3for2 offer! Bargain!

Ok so because I bought these polishes I decided I needed more pretty colours in my life... I came across models own, they have an amazing selection of colours and a great offer on too! Buy 5 bottles and save £7! It would be rude not to place an order! They are retailed at £5 per bottle.

(L-R) Buff Pink / Pastel Pink / Fuzzy Peach / Top Turquoise / Grey Day

Today I was sporting Grey Day, a matte grey which again Im in LOVE with! Again, two coats was needed to achieve this finish.

Swatches on white paper

I ordered these on a Monday and they arrived by Wednesday. 5 polishes cost me £18 and this was with free delivery too. A great deal! The only negative is the smell, as soon as you unscrew the bottle, the fumes really kick in. I felt intoxicated! apart from this they are fantastic polishes.

Have you tried any of these polishes and what are your fave colours? =)
