This mascara has recently been launched and is Maybelline's newest creation within its mascara family.
I was lucky enough to be given this in the goody bag from the event and my first impressions were.. gimmicky?
So for the last few days I have been putting this mascara to the test...
The Vibrating mascara comes with a button which gives easy control, allowing you to have it on or off. The vibrations are ever so gentle, not what I initially thought.
The brush is a nice size to work with and curves slightly inwards towards the middle. This is probably the first time I have worked with a brush like this? I normally tend to go for bristles or a comb.
This is my scary naked eye, Lashes are curled so that you can see and compare it to the next picture.
I always curl my lashes when applying my mascara so I thought that this would be an appropriate step.
Here is the result with just 2 coats. There is noticably a BIG diffrence and it managed to make my mouth utter the words 'WOW'.
Lashes have volume, length and drama. I used the vibration throughout the whole time and used the standard zig zigging application.
I also tried this yesterday without the vibration and results were the same =D
So now lets give it some scores eh.....
Holds curls? 4/5
Gives Volume? 5/5
Easy to remove? 3/5
Does it flake? no signs of flakiness
Price tag? £14.99 (but on offer atm for £9.99) The price tag is very steep in comparison to other drugstore mascaras but the results are fantastic, I would say this is a drugstore luxury item =)
Overall? 5/5 I LOVE IT!!!
Repurchase? YES! I was wrong, Although the idea behind it sounds gimmicky it is a bloody fantastic product. =)
Have you tried this yet? do you like it?
